REGULATIONS

The event
The HRCR Midlands Region will promote the ‘Derbyshire Dales Drive’ touring assembly on Sunday 4th June 2017. The event will be held under a Certificate of Exemption issued by the MSA, these regulations and any written instructions that the Organisers may issue for the event.

The start and finish will be from Abbotsholme School, Rocester, Staffordshire ST14 5BS (OS 128 / 118385)

Timetable

Saturday 14th January 2017      Entry List opens.
Saturday 20th May:                     Entry List closes.
w/c 29th May                                Final Instructions issued.
Sunday 4th June                           09:00 – 10:00:   Signing-on and Breakfast.
10:01             First car away: subsequent cars at one minute intervals in numerical order
16:30 (approx):    First car returns

Eligibility
This non-competitive event is open to motor cars registered before the 31st December 1990. Interesting later cars may be accepted at the Organisers’ discretion.

All cars should be presented in good condition and the Organisers reserve the right to decline any car carrying advertising, competition style numbers, or showing damage.

Each car must have a V5 Registration Document and valid MOT Certificate.  MSA Competition Licences are not required.

Entries
The event’s Entry List opens with the publication of these Regulations and closes on Saturday 20th May 2017. If the entry list is full before the Closing Date, a reserve list will be started.

The Entry Fee is £75 per car and crew of two and includes a detailed road book, rigid rally plate, breakfast roll and beverages at the start, mid-morning coffee/tea/soft drink, picnic lunch box, BBQ and tour souvenir at the finish. A digital photograph of you and your car will be included in the entry fee. The charge for additional passengers will be £25.00 per person.

All entries should be made on the official Entry Form (fully completed), accompanied by the appropriate fee and sent to the Entries Secretary. The starting order will be determined by receipt of entry, unless otherwise requested. The cost of any entries withdrawn in writing prior to 20th May 2017 will be refunded, less an administration fee of £10. Thereafter refunds will be at the Organiser’s discretion.
The maximum entry for the event will be 60 and the minimum 20. Should the minimum not be reached, the Organisers reserve the right to cancel the event.

Insurance
The event is a non-competitive touring assembly held under an MSA Certificate of Exemption. Being such, its entrants should be covered by a standard motor car insurance policy for the use of their cars on a public highway. However, if in doubt, please seek advice from your insurance company / broker.

The Route
The route will cover approximately 120 miles on tarmac roads within Derbyshire and Staffordshire, all as defined by a comprehensive road book incorporating the route instructions. No additional maps are required but, should you wish to bring your own maps, the route will be found on OS Landranger maps , 119 and 128.

Places for coffee and rest stops will be available en route, whilst the lunch break will be taken at Brosterfield Farm, Foolow. A lunch box will be provided at the start, however, you may want to bring your own picnic if you do not wish to take advantage of the schools excellent catering. At the finish ( Abbotsholme School) there will be a BBQ meal.

As ever, please be mindful of other road users, particularly horse riders, cyclists and walkers.
